Lagos Is the Nigerian opportunity.

Walk with me a second. So I have a little theory. Entrepreneurism is all about focus. Nigeria is a large and diverse place. Ethnically, geographically, religiously and culturally. If there was an option to create start-ups in an area, where would you choose? Lagos, dummies! Lagos is basically a small country. GDP US$33.7Bn (65% of Nigeria’s non-oil GDP), for all intents and purposes roughly the same size as pre-oil Ghana. According to the last census there are apparently 8Mn people living in Lagos, although some suggest 15–30Mn depending on wet-finger in the air economists.
Either way, what is patently obvious is that hundreds of $Mn startup opportunities can be created within Lagos state alone. Most would recommend looking at the Nigeria opportunity.
