An upper class story

Earlier this year I was flying the red eye between Lagos and NYC (an 18 hour-ish flight), I was in the upper class bar discussing the finer points of Nigerian capital markets with an enterprise tech dude I happen to always randomly meet on that route (he’s based on the East coast; last year when we were chatting we happened across Virgin Group owner Richard Branson.)
I have no idea what the time or time zone we were in but at some point, we noticed a middle-aged Nigerian man struggling to open the upper class toilet door. Not in a subtle way. But in a super confident yet clueless manner. He was banging away at it for a minute or two before the enterprise tech dude showed him how to open the toilet door. He didn’t even thank him. This chap was sitting in Virgin Atlantic upper class and for all intents and purposes appeared / acted like this was his first time on a plane.
