Alabanomics | Yesterday, today and the future of Nollywood

Above is the picture of the movies released in 2013 into the Alaba wholesale distribution system; a system which unpins the financial strength of Nollywood. ~90% of the annual economic value (approx $300–500Mn) of Nollywood. No one really knows how many titles are pushed into this system but I have had my team tracking the releases systematically to get a better understanding or get at least internally reliable and verifiable information.
For the last 3 years I have dedicated myself to doing one simple thing. Building a new distribution channel for Nollywood. Pioneering a new distribution model for Nigerian content.
